Another of the industrial activities of Tube Investments (Accles & Pollock) in Oldbury, is Pel Limited. They were the pioneers and still hold the lead in the production of tubular steel furniture and finished rail car and bus seats. Formed in July 1931, with works and head office at Sampson Works, Rood End Road, Oldbury, the company were contractors for British Government departments, Colonial Governments, and conduct an extensive export as well as home trade.
