Jack Holden

Jack Holden, Tipton Marathon Runner, at the peak oh his athletic career in 1950 when he won the European and Commonwealth gold medals. He ran in 57 major championships and set a world record for 30 mile track running. A plaque commemorating his achievement was erected at Tipton Sport and Social Club Headquarters in Sedgley Road East on the site of the old Headquarters Tipton Harriers Club in 1981.
