Gregory's General Store was situated in Lawrence Lane, Old Hill. Run by the Gregory family it sold just about everything the local community could want. Unlike our big supermarkets today where we do a weekly shop, most people would use the General Store everyday - buying such items as a quarter of tea or a small bag of sugar. Look closely at the picture to see the baskets of veetables outside on the pavement!
