A certificate awarded to Miss Hannah Rose for successfully completing the Elementary Examination in Pitman's Shorthand dated March 1912. Classes for shorthand were held at Fereday Market Place in Wednesbury. Pitman's Shorthand was a prerequisite for the majority of secretarial positions during this period.
