Identity Card

A National Registration Identity Card was issued to everyone during the Second World War. There were no photographs on these cards only the holders description such as height, eye and hair colour and date of birth. Every citizen had to carry their personal card with them and produced it "on demand" by a Police Officer or a member of Her Majesty's Armed Forces.
