The Two Stroke engine and equipments for motor cycles and industrial purposes made by The Villies Engineering Co. Ltd, Marston Road was established in 1898 to manufacture accessories for the cycle trade. They started making a Four Stroke Engine in 1912 but this later became discontinued. A Two Stroke Engine was then developed which had no tappits, cams, gear wheels or magnet chains.
