
The Horseley Company Ltd dates back to 1865 when the owner, Robert Broad, was considering the construction of a new works on a site between the Dixons Branch of the Birmingham Canal Navigation and the London and North Western Railway towards the lower end of Horseley Road, Tipton. This article dates back to 1880 and is a letter to a local company, the Ettingshall Industry, Wolverhampton, regarding the construction and cost of a roof. From the letter it is stated that the Head Office of the Horseley Company Ltd is based in Tipton. Evidence of the Horseley Company can be found in the construction of the Dome of Discovery in 1951.
