1929 SUNBEAM SOLO MOTOR CYCLE

MAIN CHARACTERISTICS:Extra capacity saddle tank, re-designed lubrication system, foot change gearbox, 21? front wheel, extra side fork dampers, large racing speedo and fly-mesh. HISTORY:An extremely historic machine, being one of the actual machines taken to the Isle-of-Man for the 1929 Junior TT and the only confirmed survivor from the Factory Team. For over forty years the machine had been thought lost ? although there were strong rumours that it had ?gone to ground? at the Wolverhampton Company Metal Profiles, which was the original home of Smokey Dawson?s DMW marque. In fact, the MD of that company had acquired it from a local source and kept it at the factory ? subsequently passing it on to his son.The machine has remained untouched for forty years. For many years used by the Wolverhampton Lathe family (motor cycle dealers) as a shop window showpiece for its business.
