Black Country Locals
Although the fight to eradicate sweated labour in the chain trade was a national campaign, it was ordinary, Black Country, working class men and women, who were at the heart of the battle. They had none of the advantages of the many dignitaries involved, but without their commitment and determination there would have been no victory.
